nasce in una piccola cittadina della Puglia trasferitasi fin dalla giovanissima etá a Milano dove inizia i suoi studi prima al liceo in Brera per un passaggio rapido, lo frequenta per quasi due anni,, ma ha giá in progetto di espatriare. Trascorre un periodo allo studio del Maestro Salvatore Fiume in Canzo, grazie alla conoscenza e tramite il Critico Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi che la fa presentare in catalogo con Semegizia., proprio dal Maestro stesso.In seguito conosce il Maestro Andrea Raccagni di Bologna che poi sará un ottimo stimolo per questa caparbia (segno zodiacale capricorno)e anche coraggiosa artista quello di cimentarsi ed estendere la sua ricerca pittorica con nuove tecniche e nuove forme di fare arte.
Non è difficile trovarla a tarda notte nel suo atelier, costante nella sua determinazione, ma l’atelier di Milano gli sta strettto , si lamenta per il clima i cieli perennemente grigi la intristiscono allora rincorre il sole come fanno le rondini vuole fuggire via, qualsiasi posto che non sia Milano ,infine la decisione di partire definitivamente per il Brasile dove continua a dipingere senza soste! si naturalizza con la doppia cittadinanza. Partecipa ai vari Saloni Nazionali e Internazionali di Arte Contemporanea, viene premiata in alcuni saloni per giovani leve.
Oramai sono 25 anni di vita vissuta nella sua nuova Terra Matogrossense, che l’ha scelta per viverci ,ama la sua gente e i suoi profumi, le notti di luna e le mattine luminose , quella Terra che ha trovato affine alle sue radici mediterranee, natura solare e donna che lei stessa si definisce “” cittadina del mondo”” dove il suo sole è onnipresente e la natura è rigogliosa, soddisfacendo le aspettative dell’artista che a primo impatto con la pittrice è quello di vedere “”occhi che ridono””,”ironica, quanto basta, intelligente e volitiva,capta e percepisce in un batter d’occhio quelle piccole sottigliezze che fanno di Mató un’artista a 360 gradi, poetica, musicale, colorata e multiforme, un vulcano in continua eruzione..
Mató ottiene ottimi influssi con la sua nuova vita in Sud America e la sua mente si espande in queste distese di verde, si lascia affascinare dalle foreste dalle acque cristalline dai tramonti e le tante aurore dipinte fino al canto del colibrí. Matò si tuffa nelle bellezze del Pantanal e dell’Amazzonia, mostrando al mondo tramite la sua opera pittorica l’esuberante natura Brasiliana. Documenta e arquivia tutto la pittrice, persino chi acquista una sua opera , nome , cognome , cittá ci tiene e lo fá diligentemente per i posteri, me lo dice ridendo.E’ una panoramica delle opere dell’artista durante quasi tre decadi, le sue differenti tematiche, mostrano l’eclettismo delle sue opere, permettendo una visione cronologica e concettuale della sua carriera. Sono lavori che si dividono in linguaggi figurativi con la fase Egizia, a astratti, frutti di trascendenza nella sua maniera di rappresentare l’arte. Hanno già scritto di lei vari critici d’arte, tanto in Italia come all’estero.
Ora avrete modo di apprezzarla in una mostra tutta tropicale , intitolata Calore Latino, dai colori intensi e puri, dalle trasparenze che si sovrappongono armonicamente in tutta la serie delle 32 tele .Mató é un´ artista completa, un sostantivo e un aggettivo che parrebbero consueti, mentre sono quanto mai rari.
